<turbo:content><![CDATA[<b>The national air carrier of Azerbaijan will again increase the number of special services operated between Baku and Istanbul.</b><br><br>Therefore, starting from August 6, frequency of flights to Istanbul will be increased reaching 11 per week (currently flights are being performed daily between the cities). AZAL will operate flights to Istanbul twice a day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.<br><br>The fares are similar to those previously announced for the special flights.<br><br>When purchasing tickets, students can again take advantage of a 30% discount. For this, once the booking is made on the website, they need to send a scanned copy of their immigration document and passport to the Airline's call center using the feedback form available on the website or through the WhatsApp messenger. Detailed video instruction on booking a discount ticket is available at: <a href="https://youtu.be/HylsY0m9cEM."  target="_blank" rel="external noopener noreferrer">https://youtu.be/HylsY0m9cEM</a>.<br><br>According to the new rules, only passengers tested negative for COVID-19 will be allowed to board the flights.<br><br>The list of Baku laboratories accredited by the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) can be found at <a href="https://www.azal.az/en/information/covid-clinics."  target="_blank" rel="external noopener noreferrer">https://www.azal.az/en/information/covid-clinics</a>.<br><br>As previously reported, upon departure from the Istanbul airport, at the check-in counter, passengers will need to present a certificate of negative COVID-19 test results issued by one of the clinics of “Memorial Sağlık Grubu” or other clinics from the list available on the website of the Ministry of Health of Turkey: <a href="https://covid19bilgi.saglik.gov.tr/tr/covid-19-yetkilendirilmis-tani-laboratuvarlari-listesi."  target="_blank" rel="external noopener noreferrer">https://covid19bilgi.saglik.gov.tr/tr/covid-19-yetkilendirilmis-tani-laboratuvarlari-listesi</a>.<br><br>Passengers returning from other countries via Istanbul can provide a certificate of PCR testing issued by a laboratory certified by the Ministry of Health (or other competent authority) of that country, or by passing tests in one of the Turkish clinics from the list above.<br><br>In all cases, the test results must be received within 48 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure.<br><br>In accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, all passengers arriving by these flights to Baku will have to self-isolate for two weeks. For this, during the flight they will need to fill out a declaration indicating the address of residence at which they can self-insolate. 8103 SMS permissions will not apply to these individuals.<br><br>To recap, on flights operated during the COVID-19 pandemic, special rules will apply both at the airports of departure and arrival and on board the aircraft. <turbo:content><![CDATA[<b>On July 13, the National Air Carrier of Azerbaijan (“AZAL”) performed a special flight from Havana (Cuba) to Baku.</b><br><br>115 specialists were brought to Azerbaijan to counter the spread of coronavirus disease in our country by the flight arranged at the instruction of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.<br><br>Medical professionals from Cuba along with Azerbaijani doctors will be engaged in the struggle against the pandemic.<br><br>It should be noted that it is the first direct non-stop flight operated on the Baku-Havana-Baku route in the history of “Azerbaijan Airlines”. The flight was performed on wide-body Boeing B787 aircraft. <turbo:content><![CDATA[<b>“Azerbaijan Airlines” has become the marketing partner of “Belavia” - Belarusian airlines for the Baku-Minsk flights to be operated from July 10 to July 31.</b><br><br>In total, seven flights are be operated twice per week on Fridays and Sundays.<br><br>Tickets will be sold both on the website of the National Air Carrier (www.azal.az) and the Belarusian airline (www.belavia.by).<br><br>Only passengers entitled to enter Belarus are accepted to the Baku-Minsk flights. Passengers transferring via Minsk to a third country will be accepted in accordance with the rules of entry of their country of destination.<br><br>To recap, only passengers who have been tested for coronavirus (COVID-19) will be allowed to board the flights. <turbo:content><![CDATA[<b>The National Air Carrier of Azerbaijan (“AZAL”) amended its rules for carriage of carry-on luggage during the COVID-19 pandemic.<br></b><br>According to the new rules, carry-on luggage is not allowed on board an aircraft.<br><br>These changes apply to all passengers traveling by domestic and international flights.<br><br>In pursuing this measure, the airline tries to minimize lines in the cabin and ensure unobstructed boarding of passengers.<br><br>According to the new rules introduced by AZAL, only women’s handbags or men's briefcases, as well as items necessary for children, are allowed as carry-on luggage. Other baggage including paper and plastic bags must be checked to be transported in the cargo hold of aircraft.<br><br>Purchases made at Duty Free stores are also not allowed on board an aircraft.<br><br>]]></turbo:content>

<turbo:content><![CDATA[<b>National Air Carrier – “Azerbaijan Airlines” continues to operate special flights on the Baku-Istanbul-Baku route on June 17 and 18. Flights take off as scheduled.</b><br><br>According to the new rules, only passengers who were tested for coronavirus (COVID-19) in special laboratories accredited by the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) and got negative test results are allowed to board the Baku-Istanbul flight.<br><br>When departing from Istanbul at the check-in counter, you will need to present a certificate of negative COVID-19 test result. In this case, citizens of Azerbaijan arriving by the Istanbul-Baku flight are exempted from quarantine. However, if COVID-19 symptoms are found, the passengers of this flight may be sent for further medical examination.<br><br>Sale of ticket for the Baku-Istanbul-Baku flights was opened on the website of the airline (www.azal.az). Citizens of Azerbaijan, Turkey and other countries eligible to enter this country were able to purchase tickets for the Baku-Istanbul flight. <turbo:content><![CDATA[<b>The South Caucasus Pipeline Company (SCPC) announces that as from 20 March 2020 technical operatorship of the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) has been transferred from BP Exploration (Shah Deniz) Limited to SOCAR Midstream Operations Limited, a fully-owned subsidiary of SOCAR. The South Caucasus Pipeline is one of the key sections of the Southern Gas Corridor. </b><br><br>This is in accordance with the revised SCP Pipeline Owners’ Agreement, signed in December 2013 as part of the final investment decision on the Shah Deniz Stage 2 and South Caucasus Pipeline Expansion (SCPX) projects. The agreement provides for SOCAR to become the technical operator of SCP on the first anniversary of the SCPX construction completion date.  <br><br>The transfer covers the operation of all dedicated SCP facilities in Azerbaijan and Georgia. The facilities that are common to both the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline and SCP will continue to be operated by bp in its capacity as common operator. There is no change to the operatorship of the Sangachal Terminal, BTC or the Western Route Export Pipeline (WREP) which will all continue to be operated by bp.<br><br>SOCAR and bp will continue to work together during 2020 to effectively implement all aspects of the transition process.<br><br>Rovnag Abdullayev, President of SOCAR, said: “We have been the commercial operator of SCPsince 2015, conducting all commercial operations of the pipeline on a high level.  Now SOCAR takes over the technical operatorship of SCP as envisaged in the pipeline owners’ agreement. <br><br>“As an SCPC shareholder, we have always been pleased with the safety of SCP operations, which have been among the best in the industry. We would like to thank bp for their excellent partnership and operatorship. As the new technical operator we will use our successful international experience and work closely with all of our partners to sustain the high level of safety, reliability and environmental performance of SCP.”<br><br>Gary Jones, bp’s Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, said: <br>“We welcome SOCAR as the new technical operator of SCP. As the biggest shareholder in Shah Deniz and SCPC, we remain committed to working with SOCAR to ensure continued safe and reliable operation of the pipeline.<br><br>“We believe SOCAR has great experience of safe and efficient project delivery. This was demonstrated during the four years of successful construction followed by the safe operation of TANAP. In addition, SOCAR has been a very effective commercial operator of SCP for nearly five years now. Always paying particular attention to the development of the younger generation, Azercell provides more than 1000 children in need of special care, with a free access to the “Busuu” foreign language learning application.<br><br>“Busuu” is a world-famous foreign language learning mobile application with more than 90 million users and one of the top 10 best mobile apps for learning a foreign language. The application enables a user to learn 12 languages at the same time - English, Russian, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and other languages. There are opportunities for improving grammar, writing, listening and speaking skills. This application is a good chance to get an international McGraw-Hill language certification.<br><br>Under the campaign "The right to learn for every child” Azercell distributes 6-month free codes for “Busuu” language learning app to the children from low-income families,children with disabilities,and autism syndrome, as well as April martyrs’ and veterans’children.
