The memorandum provides for cooperation between PASHA Bank and Baku Higher Oil School in the implementation of modern educational (scientific) programs. Also, under the memorandum, BHOS students will undertake an internship at PASHA Bank.
The document was signed by Rector of Baku Higher Oil School ElmarGasimov and Executive Board Member, Chief Operating Officer of PASHA Bank Jalal Orujov.

The signing ceremony was attended by heads of various departments of Baku Higher Oil School and Pasha Bank, as well as students of the Process Automation Engineering Department and Information Security Department of BHOS.
Speaking at the ceremony, ElmarGasimov expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with Pasha Bank.He emphasized the importance of teaching studentspractical skills, along with theoretical knowledge. The rector noted the need to build human resources capacity and create an effective business environment in higher education institutions and local companies to prevent “brain drain” abroad.
Jalal Orujovalso spoke at the event.Speaking about the main goals of Pasha Bank, one of the largest financial institutions in the country, he stressed that the bank has always supported young people in achieving success. Jalal Orujovemphasized the importance of cooperation with BHOS in this direction.

At the end of the event, the students received answers to their questions about internship and employment.
Then, the representatives of Pasha Bank visited the BHOS campus.

The 3-day summit was attended by about 600 representatives of various universities and educational agencies from around the world.
The summit was aimed at ensuring exchange of views and broad discussions among representatives of higher education institutions of Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region on strengthening their cooperation.

During the visit, the rector discussed the prospects for cooperation between higher education institutions that are members of EURAS, on the one hand, and Baku Higher Oil School, on the other hand, in various fields of teaching and scientific-research activities.

During his visit to the exhibition, organized as part of the summit, Elmar Gasimov also met with Rector of Istanbul Aydin University Mustafa Aydin.

The team members: Ali Yusifov, Elnur Shahbalaev and Nail Karimov took first place in the competition, in which they represented PETRONAS University of Technology (Malaysia).

On the final day of the competition, teams shot 90-second video clips about their projects and presented them for participation in the final round of the Invent for the Planet competition, which will be held at Texas A&M University.
Note that only 5 teams from 38 universities of the world are competing for the right to participate in the final round to be held in Texas, USA.
It should also be noted that Ali Yusifov, Elnur Shahbalaev and Nail Karimov are students of PETRONAS Technological University, where they study in the framework of cooperation between Baku Higher Oil School and the Malaysian company PETRONAS, one of the world's leading oil and gas companies.

The solution the students presented to the competition is an intelligent device that older single people can use when they need first aid.

Thus, the request sent by BHOS received positive feedback from the Council of Higher Education.

In its letter addressed to BHOS, the Council of Higher Education states that Baku Higher Oil School has been included in YÖK’s list of existing international organizations. This means that under the rules for mutual recognition of diplomas adopted in Turkey, BHOS graduates with a bachelor's or master's degree can apply for participation in various educational programs implemented in higher educational institutions in Turkey.
The Council of Higher Education of Turkey (YüksekÖğretimKurumu - YÖK) is a body created on the basis of the higher education system in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, adopted in 1982.

The Memorandum of Cooperation provides for holding of events on improving knowledge and skills of the students who study in the field of oil and gas under the master’s programme, as well as implementation of joint projects in the fields of science, technology and education.
The Winners’Announcement Ceremony was attended by representatives of the HeydarAliyev Foundation, TechnipFMC, Baku Higher Oil School, the Italian Embassy, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and other organizations.
At the event, Director of the International Relations Department of the HeydarAliyev Foundation SoltanMammadovspoke about the purpose of the training programme. He noted that this programme is one of the significant projects aiming to contribute to the education, environment and technology sector of the country, conveying technological and industrial innovations to Azerbaijani students and professionals, improving their knowledge and skills.

At the initial stage of the three-stage project, 50 students from Azerbaijan took part in the courses, 25 of whom were fourth-year students of Baku Higher Oil School majoring in Petroleum & Chemical Engineering.At the first stage, trainings were conducted on five modules for 6 weeks. At the end of the trainings, 15 students were selected for the master's programme.11 of them are students of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), and the remaining 4 are students of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. The winning students will study at further education courses in France, Italy and Norway for 2 months.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School ElmarGasimov noted that the HeydarAliyev Foundation, headed by First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan MehribanAliyeva, set a goal to develop the education sector to a level that meets the requirements of a globalized world and to form the material, technical and intellectual base for the implementation of the national model of education.The rector expressed gratitude to the leaderships of the HeydarAliyev Foundation and Technip FMC for the trust placed in the youth and BHOS students.He noted that such projects are of great importance in terms of improving the knowledge and skills of young people. Within the event, a presentation of the winning projects of the students who had beenselected for Baku Higher Oil School’s master programmewas held.The project aimed at protecting the environment, provided for the development of bioplastic products.

BAKU.NEWS informs, citing The Sun, that the impressive youngster from Moseley, Birmingham, achieved 162 points in the Cattell II B test which examines verbal reasoning.

Her score is two points above Einstein who is believed to have an IQ of 160, the same as Professor Hawking.

Freya's results in the test mean she is officially a "genius" according to officials at Mensa.

She has been offered a scholarship to King Edward VI High School for Girls and has already passed the entrance exam for selective grammar school, King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls.

Not only is Freya a genius when it comes to verbal reasoning, she also has a black belt in taekwondo and enjoys writing stories, drama and chess.
